Continuous Loading Surface Property Tester
TYPE:22

Evaluates Film Adhesion from the Scratch Resistance caused by Continuous Loading
Using two pulse motors, the mobile base that is loaded with the test piece and the continuous loading weight guide are moved simultaneously.
In order to rotate the arm to which the scratching needle is attached, it is possible to proportionally increase the vertical loading of the continuous loading weights on the scratching needle test piece as the test piece travels.
In addition, the scratching needle mounting part incorporates a load converter that detects the resistance. From the friction resistance in the low loading range, minute changes in the scratching resistance and peeling resistance can be directly detected.
In the friction and wear test, by carrying out both-way operation of the test piece under fixed loading conditions, the friction resistance can be detected from the ball indenter.

Features

Evaluation of Adhesion from Thin Films to Thick Films

The scratching resistance and peeling resistance are recorded from the friction resistance between the test piece and the scratching needle due to the continuous loading. The adhesion is taken as the vertical loading when film peeling occurs.

The resistance is detected directly from the scratching needle. Because needle tips are available from 5??mR to 200??mR, a wide range of films are supported, from thin films to thick films, and from soft films to hard films.

Due to the mechanical nature of the unique continuous loading mechanism, troublesome calibration will not be required and the system will be highly reliable.

Real-time Measurement of Changes in the Friction Resistance due to Wear

Repeating the friction due to the both-way travel, the changes in the surface condition and the number of reciprocal movements required before film peeling occurs can be found from the increases and decreases in the friction resistance.

Measurement of Surface Scratching Hardness

By applying the specified fixed loading using the conical scratching needle, the scratching hardness can be shown using the size of the scratch width caused by the scratching.

Measurement of Friction using Point Pressure

The surface adhesive strength, essential for film adhesion evaluation, can be evaluated from the friction resistance.
